LAKE COMO CONDUCTING PRACTICE COURSE

The course is intended to offer the participants a once in a life-time occasion to study the wide repertoire of Lake Como International Conducting Competition a few days from the beginning of the I round, thus giving the participants the opportunity to be prepared at their best before the start of the competition itself.

Each participant is allowed to choose as many pieces as he/she likes; the participants are allowed to conduct only part of the movements, in order to avoid losses of time the students are required to declare at the moment of the application which movements (or part of movement) they intend to conduct.

GENERAL RULE

Each participant will conduct Lake Como Symphony Orchestra for a fixed amount of time; the course is intended like a practice session under the guidance of the Concertmaster and the principals of Lake Como Symphony Orchestra. In order to ensure the fairness of the judgement during the competition, no member of the jury is involved in the course.

ORCHESTRA TIME

The orchestra will be available every day from 10:00 until 13:15 and from 15:00 until 18:15

​

PODIUM TIME

Each participant can buy an amount of podium time according to the following plan:

10 minutes and multiples

15 minutes and multiples

30 minutes and multiples

45 minutes and multiples

 

the total amount of time bought can be divided in the three days or grouped in one specific date, choosing from 11,12 and 13 June.

The first participants who apply will have the opportunity to choose their spot.

The timer will begin when the conductor steps on the podium.

The application form must be received no later than 3 June 2021. Once the number of admitted registrations has expired, registrations will no longer be accepted and will be refunded.

SHOOTING OF AUDIO AND VIDEO IMAGES

By registering, the participant in the masterclass gives his consent for filming and radio and television broadcasts, for shooting images as well as for audio and video tapes made in the context of lectures, rehearsals, auditions, concerts and performances operas, performed by the organizer himself or by persons or institutions in charge. In particular, the participant assigns to the organization all the rights of image, sound and video footage for any use in relation to the event. The organization reserves the right to use images, audio and video recordings for promotion in relation to this event or future events or to publish sound and video recordings for demonstration and promotional purposes.
